Computational mechanics (CM) is a research field based on mathematics, physics, and computer science. Their high-level fusion has brought innovations in the various fields so far. This has been further accelerated by the rapid developments of AI and machine learning.
In this background, the CM group is dedicated to investigate the classical foundations of analysis and design regarding partial differential equations and further integrate them with AI and machine learning nowadays.
Our prime focus is on the creation of universal, general-purpose, and fundamental concepts and methodologies, bearing the real-world applications in mind.
